If you have never done it before, now is the perfect time to get involved!
If you have contracted before and would like to explore additional options, this is a good pathway to doing so!
The Wyoming Small Business Development Center is launching a brand-new network called the Strategic Teaming Alliance Roundtable (STAR), which starts meeting on March 17th to find ways to pool resources and provide opportunities for small businesses to contract with government contracts, with a particular focus on Air Force Bases. With Malmstrom Air Force Base in our region, this will be of particular interest to our Cascade County- and Teton County-based business owners, as well as business owners in general.
Contracting is a fantastic way to tap into pre-existing demand for the products you supply. The trick is finding out who has that demand and networking opportunities like this one are essential for finding the needs that your business can meet.
Here is the official invite from the Wyoming SBDC:
Everyone’s talking about Northrop Grumman’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) project, and we all know many opportunities will be coming in the future and for years to come. BUT were you also aware of opportunities outside GBSD? Do you know how to do business with not only Northrop Grumman but their nationwide team of hundreds of prime contractors, small, medium and large businesses across the United States? Prime contractors like Bechtel, General Dynamics, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin and more!”
